The Vigon Method

Studies have demonstrated that worksite wellness programs can lower heath care and insurance cost, decrease absenteeism, and improve performance and productivity. A review of 10 major studies reports cost/benefit ratios for dollars spent ranging from 1: 2.05 to 1:5.96 with two high return studies reporting ratios of 1:10.1 and 1:19.4.

According to a review by the Silicon Valley Joint Venture, an organization founded to promote a healthy community and economy, a number of companies saw significant returns on dollars invested in corporate wellness programs. These companies include Bank of America, Pacific Bell, Prudential Insurance Company, and many others.

A study conducted by the Center for Disease Control (CDC) reported that, on average, physically active individuals had lower annual direct medical costs than inactive people.

A study in Sweden found that mental performance was significantly better in physically fit workers than in non-fit workers. Fit Workers committed 27% fewer errors on tasks involving concentration and short-term memory as compared with the performance of non-fit workers.
